We went up to Bear Lake this weekend for one last fling before Brenn and Kim leave for D.C., and Rich leaves for Milwaukee. It was such a fun weekend filled with boating, smores around the campfire, snoring (Spencer), eating, a little bit of white-trash church dress, and did I mention eating? Brenn, Kim, Rich, Spencer and I all slept in the same room (Shaylee and Jason weren't so lucky). It was fun for me and Spencer because apparently I have become very accustomed and numb to Spencer's snoring while everyone that doesn't live with him hasn't. Sorry guys!! All in all the trip was amazingly fun and we will miss our friends so much, but that just gives us an excuse to go to D.C., (and visit NY), and go to Milwaukee (and visit Chicago at the same time).

Going Private
Hey Everyone, I am in the process of making our blog private. I think it is for the best. Just leave me your email address so that I can add you to our blog and not leave you out of the loop- I hate it when people do that!!

Welcome BABY!!
Emily and Brian had their baby today!! I got a call at 4:45am and it was Brian asking me if I could come over and sleep with Lucas cause they needed to go to the hospital. Her due date was the 14th, but he was just a little anxious to get here. He was born on June 9th, at 12:32pm, 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long. He is so cute! I think it is so amazing each time a new baby is brought into this world. It's crazy to think that just minutes before they are born they are with our Heavenly Father.
I brought Lucas over to the hospital after Henry was born and he didn't quite know what to think. All he knows is that Henry is the name of Thomas the tank engine's friend and he's green. He eventually warmed up to the baby and kept saying "Baby Brother." We are so glad everyone is doing well and all went well.

Working Cows
Yesterday was the big day of working the cows. The Richins usually get about 60 yearlings each Spring, feed them, and beef them up, then sell them in the Fall. But before they can take them up to their land in Henefer we have to work them. In other words, we have to tag them, give them shots, and brand them with the Bar R brand. It's quite the job and experience. I tagged their ears for a while, but then decided I didn't like being the one pushing the pin through all that skin in their ear, so I decided to help the other girls get them lined up ready to go into the shoot. Oh, I also got to brand my first cow. Burnt hair and skin of a cow is really stinky. We weren't exactly clean when we got done and there were a few injuries as always, but nothing too serious. We started at 9:00 and went till about 2:30- through the rainstorm and all. It is always a family affair. Marsha provided the yummy orange rolls about half way through and Aubree and Karter even came in their cowboy boots and wranglers to help out. It was a fun and successful day.

Happy B-Day Linz Lou!!
Happy Birthday Lin! Lindsey and Brett went to Lagoon today- the perfect way to celebrate a birthday- I think. They came over to Mom's after to open some gifts. I can't believe how old we are all getting. It is a little depressing and weird, but it's all good. I keep telling Spencer that I still feel like I'm still 22. I think I will feel that way my whole life. Anyway, love ya Lin!!

HENEFER
We had another fun weekend up in Henefer. Ryan and Mandi took their kids up for the night to experience camping (house trailer style.) And we came up on Saturday to do some four-wheeling and have lunch. It is so beautiful and green up there right now. Next week we get to work the cows: tag them and brand them and stuff. That is when the fun begins. I love being a cowgirl and a city girl at the same time- it's awesome.
