Bitner Family Reunion

This last week was the huge Bitner Family Reunion up at Bear Lake. We look forward to this every year. We have such a big family, over 100 people, so we don't usually get together other than at Christmas and Bear Lake. Everyone brings up their toys: boats, four-wheelers, motorcycles, go-karts, and more. We have such a fun time together. We spend half the time applying sunscreen and the other half getting way too much sun, but it just wouldn't be Bear Lake if that wasn't the case. We had a blast and can't wait till next year!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa-we loved it!

Two Down: One to Go!!

Today I finished New Moon and it was just as good as the first time I read it! I am proud to say that this time I was able to drag it out more than 3 days. Now my goal is to finish Eclipse just in time for Breaking Dawn- so that gives me 9 days. We'll see how that goes. I am not sure how I feel about the movie "Twilight." I am not expecting the movie to be anything near as good as the books, but I figure if I go see it with that attitude, then I won't be disappointed. Don't get me wrong: I am way excited for the movie. Plus, after going to "Batman" with Spencer, he has agreed to go see "Twilight" with me.

Girl's Night Out

Sher, Kim, and I went to dinner and a movie tonight. We went to Costa Vida (always yummy) and then to Mamma Mia. And all I can say is WOW- I don't even know how to put that movie into words. We just keep looking at each other thinking, "Is this really going on?" It was very entertaining to say the least. I just don't know how I feel about Merrill Streep and her friends singing into tampons on a huge screen. Anyway, the night was way fun and we definitely don't do it enough. Thanks for the fun night girlies!!

Pineview

Ryan Wakeboarding

Radical Ron on the Tube

Yesterday we went up to Pineview with Annie's in-laws, the Ostlers. It was way hot outside and the water was the perfect temperature. Although I must say, the Richins were a bit out of their comfort zone- boating is quite the opposite of working cows. I loved seeing Ron out there on the tube and he even tried to surf behind the boat!! I was amazed, to say the least. Way to go RON! We had a lot of fun tubing, surfing, swimming, sun-tanning, and EATING!! Thanks for the fun weekend. Let's not make it the last.

Not Done Yet: Go Aggies

I am so proud of Spencer. He just got accepted into the MBA program at Utah State!! I know that he will be embarrassed when he sees this, but I just had to tell everyone. I think it is so awesome. He's not that excited to be starting into the Master's program quite yet, cause he would have liked a longer break from school, but this way he'll finish sooner. He is going to be doing the USU extension program which is done at night through Weber State. The professors from Utah State come down to Weber and teach there. It's really pretty convenient for us. This way he can have a degree from two different schools, but we don't have to move to Logan. Way to go Hon!!

One Down: Two to Go!!

Reading these books over again makes me so excited for the 4th one to come out: 14 days and counting... I finished Twilight in about a week, and started New Moon yesterday- needless to say, I am already half way through it. The first time I read New Moon it took me 3 days to finish, and I thought I'd try to drag it out a little bit longer this time: not possible. If you haven't read these- you have got to start NOW!!

Rock Band

A bunch of us got together to have one last BBQ and crazy party before Brenn, Kim and Rich move out of state. The funnest part of the night was playing the Wii- Rock Band, which we did the majority of the night and into the early morning hours. We will miss you guys so much!! We love having friends so close by, but we'll just have to keep in touch while you're away. Kim I'll miss you the most! I'm so sad to see my BFF leave, but at least we got her married to Spencer's buddy, so he can take care of her. Love ya KIM!!

We Love Swimming

Spencer and I took Aubree, Karter and Lucas to the Clearfield Aquatic Center, my second home. They loved the big slides.

Happy Independence Day!!

I love the 4th of July and all its fun activities. Here is a summary of all the fun, crazy things we did in the last few days......
We went to Grandma and Grandpa Morgan's on the 3rd for a family BBQ, where they served us all steaks!! The kids swam and got really sticky in the Salt Water Taffy! We didn't make it up to the Eaglewood fireworks and fun which I was sad about because I don't know the last time I missed that, but there's always next year, right?
First off, I have to say that I am so proud of Spencer. We got up at 6:30 on the 4th and ran in the Clearfield 5K Freedom Run. Spencer did awesome- I still can't believe he did it with me! We both took 4th in our age groups and are suffereing from a few shin splints today. But all in all it was really fun. Then we went to a Clearfield Boy Scout Breakfast that we found in the parking lot of Macey's. (kinda ghetto, we know), then watched Aubree sing in the Layton Parade. She did such a good job. We then went to GET SMART, with the Richins Fam (it's way funny, go and see it)We also went to the Clearfield Fair and fireworks. We can now say that we are truly Clearfield-ites. It was really fun to join in on all the activities of our city.

THE HOST

I am proud to say the I finally finished The Host yesterday! I was on pg. 50 for about 2 weeks, but then when I decided I needed to get reading, I couldn't put it down. Ask Spencer, I took the book everywhere with me. I loved it. If you haven't read it or you're stuck in the first part of the book, don't give up- it is really so good. I love how believable she makes her weird book topics. Now I am reading The Twilight Series over again before the 4th book comes out. I am going with Addie May, Spencer's cousin, on August 1st at midnight to pick up my copy of the book- along with all the other crazies out there!! If anyone wants to come with us, just call and reserve your copy and then let me know. Stephenie Meyer is such a great writer, Wow!

Happy Birthday Brian and Emily!!!

We all celebrated Bri and Em's birthdays at the best italian restaurant around- Johnny Carino's. We love you guys!!

Swimming- YAY!!

Swimming is my favorite thing to do (as you all know)- so instead of going by myself I usually take my little buddy, Lucas, with me. I am glad he's always up for going. He never lets me down. We went to the Clearfield Aquatic Center last week with Steff and her girls, Camryn and Brooklyn. They loved each other!!
