Kim, Brenn, and Rich came into town for the holidays, so we all decided to get together last night. Needless to say, it lasted till the early hours of the morning, 3 am, and the guys got a little crazy. We had a fun time watching old high school videos courtesy of Jason, singing, and laughing.
We had such an awesome Christmas. We were able to spend lots of time with each of our families. We were able to talk to Dan in Denmark for a while and he seems to be doing great. He is out of the office and loving being out in the field again. Instead of telling you every last detail of our Christmas holiday, you can just watch the slideshow. We had our annual gingerbread house making contest. Well, it's not really a contest, but a few of us think it is :) Spencer and I are never as creative as my siblings, but that's ok. It was fun as always. We all ate a lot of candy and then Mom pulled out the homemade pies!! So yummy!! She even gave me my own pumpkin pie!! Thanks Mom and Dad, you are the best!!
Last week I asked Spencer if he would go out on a date with me on Friday night. I told him I was going to plan the whole thing. First we went to Paradise Bakery for dinner (Spencer stopped by Chipotle and met me in Paradise), then we went to Dave's b-ball game against West, which was such an awesome game- except for the outcome :( Dave played awesome though. Then we went to see the lights on temple square and then went to Twilight at the Gateway!! Spencer actually really liked it. I was surprised, but I'm not complaining. I think it was the best the 2nd time around. Needless to say, we had a really fun night together.
Well, another Thanksgiving has come and gone. We ate our Thanksgiving dinner with the Richins and it was delicious. I attempted my mom's infamous rainbowjello (which takes forever) and it actually turned out. I was pretty proud of myself!! That evening we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Egan's and Morgan's for desserts. It was fun to be able to see everyone. I am so glad our grandparents live so close. That night we stayed up playing ping pong and Scattergories with Annie, Josh, and Marsha.
Black Friday morning rolled around a little to quickly, but I was so excited it didn't matter. Em and I got up early and went to Taipan, Rodworks, and Target. We got some pretty good deals. Then we went to the Gateway with Mom, Lin, and Brett. Mom gave all the girls our pre-christmas gift, the stable animals for our Nativity!! We all went our different ways to shop for a bit and then all met up to go to Twilight #2. I actually loved it the second time!! I now want to take Spencer to it for my third time. I think I enjoyed it more because I wasn't constantly comparing it to the book the whole time. I could have watched it again right after it was over!!
When I got home from shopping Spencer had put up all the Christmas lights and he did an awesome job. Saturday he went up to Pine with Ryan and Karter and cut down our perfect, huge Christmas tree. I love it! We spent the night listening to Christmas music, decorating the tree and the rest of the house. We are officially ready for Christmas! Thanks for all you hard work Spencer.
Yes, it's true... I went to the midnight showing of Twilight and it was so fun!! Thanks Em for inviting me to go. We went to CPK for dinner and then went up to Hot Topic and took some funny pictures. So as far as the movie goes, I wasn't excepting much- so it was actually pretty good!! I won't give too much away, but I will tell you that I thought Edward was kind of awkward in some parts, but oh well. He's not supposed to be quite human anyway. There were a few parts where me and Em just had to laugh at it. Actually, the movie really made me excited to read the books again. I am excited to see it again in the next few days with my mom and sisters.
I have to say that I was debating on whether to post these pictures or not cause they are way cheesy and we were 100% kidding. So as long as you know that I am not one of those crazy's.... I'll post them. Oh, and there were plenty of crazy's there, believe me. Also, I do realize that I am wearing the same sweatshirt as the night before, but what can I say... it's new and it's comfy!

Tonight all the girls got to go to Carrie Underwood's concert with Little Big Town as the starter band. It was so much fun!! She is such an amazing singer and performer- not to mention, she's beautiful. It really was so awesome! To start off the night we went to P.F. Changs for dinner and then to the concert at the E center. Thanks Dad for getting us all tickets and surprising Mom!! Our girls night out was the best. We Love You Dad!!
Tonight Spencer got to go see his favorite person in the world- Ace Enders. Playing with Ace was NeverShoutNever, PlayRadioPlay! and HelloGoodbye. He was so pumped because he even got to talk with Ace one on one for a bit. I am sad that I had to miss out on the concert, but I was at a concert of my own and Carrie was worth it. Plus Ace will be back in the Spring and I'm sure we'll see him then too. Thanks for the t-shirt Spenc!!
Today was the final weigh in for Farewell to Fat. There were two categories throughout the competition. One was weight lost and the other was points earned. (you earn points for losing weight, the food challenge, your food journal, etc.) We won 1st place for having the most points earned throughout!!! We won second place for the most weight lost!! We lost 25.5 pounds all together. I am so proud of our team. Way to go blue team!! We all got $20 gift certificates to a salon and spa and gift cards for free smoothies. There was also a raffle where I won a water bottle. This was a really fun thing to do with everyone on our team. I am glad we did it, but I am also glad it is over. I was getting really sick of writing down everything I ate. Dairy Queen Blizzard here I come!!
We had fun last weekend carving pumpkins and decorating cookies (thanks Mom and Dad). We had some pretty good pumpkins this year: Mona Lisa, Einstein, Silly face with giant ears, Woods Cross Tribute, and a Jazz Tribute. Spencer likes to go with the generic looking jack-o-lantern, so ours was done in about 10 minutes, but that's ok, he does a good job. Lucas was a dragon this year and Henry was a stinkin-cute skunk!! We had a lot of fun!!
